Dudley Chapter No 252 in Festive Mood.
Tuesday 20th May 2008 saw Dudley Chapter celebrating with Ladies invited and entertainment provided after the regular Meeting. The reason for the jollification was the honouring of Excellent Comp. V.A Martin’s 50 year’s membership of the Order.
At the Meeting, the Deputy Grand Superintendent , E. Comp. Charles Harris P.G.Swd.B., commented, on presenting the Special framed Certificate, about E. Comp. Martin’s outstanding contribution to Freemasonry in general and his especial service to the Royal Arch in particular. 1966, 1981, 1988 and 2005 were years when Harmonic Lodge No. 252 had prospered under his Mastership, whilst he has served as M.E.Z. of the Chapter in both 1971 and 2008.
W. Bro. Martin holds the rank of P.Prov.S.G.W. in Craft and is currently P.Prov.G.Reg. in the Royal Arch.
The Chapter and the Province congratulate E. Comp. V.A. Martin on his outstanding record and express the wish that he will long enjoy good health to be able to pursue his enthusiasm for Freemasonry for years to come.

Commenting on the meal the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Richard Price, said “it’s the best Sunday Lunch I can remember, apart from those I get at home!” The Chapter expresses thanks to E.Comp. George Bradley and his wife Margaret, for all their efforts in organising this lovely event and we look forward with anticipation to next year.

Masefield Chapter No. 2034 celebrates with Comp. Jack Lewis on his milestone anniversary of 60 years in Freemasonry. The Regular Meeting of Masefield Chapter on 7th April gave the Masefield Companions the opportunity to congratulate Jack and take wine with him on this special evening.
Companion Jack Lewis is a member of Moseley Lodge, and was formally presented with a 60 years certificate by the Provincial Grand Master, at their Lodge meeting on 8th April.
Although a Past Master of his Lodge, Jack has never been through the Chairs of Masefield Chapter, but has been a loyal, popular and energetic member, always keen to take on any office when called upon, and in particular has ably filled the unofficial role of Senior Steward for some time.
The M.E.Z., E. Comp. Bob Keeling, presented Jack with a signed copy of the summons, as a small memento from the Chapter, on the eve of the more official presentation by his mother Lodge.

Masefield Chapter senior member Tommy Godwin is a man who has lived an extraordinary life and who can now add another accolade to his lengthy list of achievements - he has just become an author. Tommy, who is now President of the Solihull Cycling Club, became a double Olympic Bronze medallist in the 1948 Games in London. The book gives insight into life in the middle of the 20th Century as well as the thrills of bike racing. "It Wasn't That Easy" is published by the John Pinkerton Memorial Fund and costs £15 plus £1.50 p&p (cheques payable to the Veteran-Cycle Club or V-CC).
