Royal Arch Appointments and Promotions
The Royal Arch intends to change its system of appointments and promotions, it was announced at the November 2007 meeting of Supreme Grand Chapter. The proposed changes include a return to using the number of Chapters (rather than the number of Royal Arch masons) within the applicable area, as the basis for first appointments to Provincial or District Grand Ranks. The motion, which would bring Royal Arch into line with the Craft system of promotions, will be subject to amendment when put to the Grand Chapter meeting on 1 May 2008.
