What a superb night it turned out to be with E. Comp. WO1 Tom Kennedy Installing his successor, E. Comp. Paul Brinkworth in an excellent manner followed by and in similar style E. Comp. Paul Installing E. Comp. David Crump as H and Comp. LWEM (R) Martin Green as J.

As we have come to expect in the Province of Worcestershire, the Provincial Team, led by the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E. Comp. Michael G Taylor, PGSwdB; who is an Honorary Member of the Chapter; accompanied by E. Comp’s Derek Owen, PGStB, Acting as Second Provincial Grand Principal and E. Comp. John Crowther, PGStB, Third Provincial Grand Principal and escorted by E. Comp. Mike Hadden, ProvDepDC provided us with excellent ritual at the Opening of the Chapter and their respective addresses delivered with the eloquence for which they are renowned.

Our Charity Steward, E. Comp. Len Venables, PPrGSoj, presented a cheque for £250 for the Provincial Royal Arch Charity Fund and a further cheque for £500 to E. Comp. Sgt (S) Ian Fothergill for SSAFA, this being the retiring MEZ’s chosen Service Charity for the year, and E. Comp. Ian being the Divisional Secretary for SSAFA Redditch & Bromsgrove Division. Both cheques were gratefully received and will be worthily applied.
